Introducing Lode Chapel

The congregation at Lode Chapel consists of a group of people from different backgrounds and a wide range of ages.  We meet on Sunday mornings in a 19th Century building which has been tastefully modernised inside to provide a warm and welcoming environment in which to worship God.

Our worship style is informal. We aim to apply the age-old truths of God’s Word, the Bible, in a way which is relevant and meaningful in the modern world. Our music ranges from traditional hymns to contemporary worship songs and is led by a music group with keyboard, guitar, violin and drums.

The life of the Chapel extends beyond Sunday morning worship to include weekly meetings, in the homes of members, for fellowship, Bible study and prayer. Twice each month there is a meeting of ‘Impact’, our women’s group, which has a lively and mixed programme of spiritual and social activities. We also enjoy a variety of social activities during the year, such as shared meals, outings, and men’s and women’s nights out. On one Sunday afternoon each month a group from the Chapel visits Queen’s Court Residential Home to share in a worship service with the residents.

Lode Chapel has a thriving young people’s work, consisting of  Sunday School, a Friday evening club - ‘Bedrock’ - for 7-11 year olds, and a small group for teenagers. The first Sunday service of each month is an all-age service.  We have also organised several successful and well attended children’s holiday clubs at Bottisham Primary School. We operate a ‘Safe to Grow’ child protection policy and all our children’s workers are undergoing training and CRB checks.

The common thread running through this mixture of personalities and activities is our desire to know more of Jesus. Lode Chapel is a place where people can meet, make friends, feel welcome and appreciated, and explore the meaning of faith. If you are reading this and would like to know more, we invite you to come and find out for yourself by joining us at one of our Sunday services or midweek activities.

If you would like more information about any of our activities, or would like to request prayer, or to talk further about the Christian faith, why not contact us?
